Extension to Training centre to provide classroom and industrial training facilities. All works were to be achieved with minimal disruption to the operations at the location, including on-going courses.

The new classroom block is designed as a steel portal frame with timber frame and facing brick finishes. The south façade has been “peeled back” to reveal a curtain walled façade, and externally a timber balcony which overlooks the facilities training rig. The first floor contains a student relaxation/ study area incorporating roof lights and floor voids which allow light to penetrate into the depth of the plan, thus creating a light and airy working environment.
