Proposed Housing Development,
Denmark Street, Fraserburgh

for Langstane Housing Association

Proposals for re-development of former industrial land utilising traditional terraced layout and hard landscaped spaces sheltered from the often extreme coastal environment.

Houses are positioned to help create a sense of community by creating a series of 'homezone' courtyards, promoting a sense of ownership over the immediate surroundings.
The development utilises a series of clearly defined linked spaces creating a sense of place whilst allowing permeability through the development with links to the coast including a large open landscaped area.

Construction works commenced on site March 2009 and were completed October 2010

The development was awarded Commendation in Residential category of the 2010 Aberdeen Society of Architects Awards
