The 42 bed nursing home was designed to fit onto a tight site, constrained by existing trees under tree protection orders.

The layout is unusual in that in order to avoid an institutional atmosphere the bedrooms are split into a series of small cluster groups arranged around there own lounge and dining areas. The external finishes of the development were selected to minimise ongoing maintenance.

At present, we are working with the client to review potential extension opportunities to increase bedspace provision in the same cluster grouped organisation within the site constraints.
