Aberdeen Science Park Innovation Centre
for Scottish Development Agency
Development Value £4,500,000
This award winning building incorporates a central glazed atrium creating an internal street to be used for meetings or as an informal ‘break out space’. A bespoke research facility for start up companies, its atrium is lined with labs specifically designed for the science and technology sector, such as rock analysis for the offshore industry.
A general design guide covering building massing, use of materials and site zoning was complied for use during the development period of the Science Park, and this strategic planning work, including an intensive visual impact study, informed the design.
